The island of Koh Samui is the third biggest island in Thailand. It is located about 800 km south of Bangkok and can be reached by plane from Bangkok in about an one hour flight. Koh Samui is well known for its long and beautiful beaches and the main attraction is the fact, that most of the hotels and resorts here are located directly on the beach and are not separated by a busy road, like on other islands in the country.
