Cha Am is located on the west side of the Gulf of Thailand, about 160 km from Bangkok and is famous for its long, flat, white sandy beach. In contrast to other tourist centers in Thailand, such as Pattaya or Phuket, it is a little quieter, due to the presence of the Royal Summer Residence.
Also the beautiful surrounding countryside has much to offer. For a change from sunbathing on the beach, the nearby Kaeng Krachan National Park, nature trail in Khao Nang Phanthurat Park and the palace buildings and temples in the Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park are waiting for you. Guests will be delighted by the many restaurants along the beach road and the Naranthip Road. From spicy Thai cuisine to international dishes, you will find a wide selection of dining and nightlife options.
The International Airport in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) is located only about 2.5 hours by bus from Cha Am.
